Another global “threat.” Iran, who followed Russia’s suit, took no time in attempting to portray some modicum of international dominance. This is the same country that Obama described as “tiny,” and “not a real threat.” So we shouldn’t be worried, right?
This is nothing more than political posturing, and perhaps we shouldn’t be too worried at the actions persè. But what is troubling is that a country like Iran, who is in a comparatively poor international standing, feels that they can make these “warnings” toward the most powerful country in the world.
Will anything come of it? Probably not, but that will depend on our new President’s reaction. If he is perceived as weak, they will perpetuate these threats with increasing aggressiveness.
